Trying to hold a line is better than waffling and conceding. Waffling is, imo, how Barnes lost to ron Johnson.

It didn’t give ground in the culture war and honored native people who do have complicated feelings about that holiday.

Prolly cuz Crowley has organized to punish the one supe (Clancy) who dared to cut MCSO funds in the past and they fear similar consequences.

Hong supporters see this and they’re sick of it. So are many working class republican voters. That’s why she’s winning.

@ajwagner86 The difference in poll numbers between Hong and Crowley in those head to head polls is tiny, and again, meaningless cuz margin of error.

The difference between them in statewide donors is MASSIVE. This matters SO MUCH MORE than Fran not liking holidays or whatever.

I'm talking about fundraising info. The number of people answering a poll is much less reliable indicator of success than the number of people opening their wallets.

Tony Evers said he opposed vouchers on the campaign trail, then signed a budget with the largest expansion of vouchers.

Do not trust people who run on being bipartisan. They serve the rich.

I don't think either of them ARE establishment, but they both chose to do establishment stuff.

White people face far less pressure to prove party loyalty with that stuff. Which you are right to be angry about.

@BenjaminPDixon @kenklippenstein I have sympathy for them, as people. I think the culture around electoral politics is super racist. The establishment requires Black people to betray their communities and their values to advance. This creates an awful double bind that white men don't need to worry about.
