Why am I in Paris attending a listening experience for an album that has been no.1 for 2 weeks in the US album chart?

Because it’s Ye.
It’s what he does. He innovates, refines, and re-engineers our approach to listening to music.

I just wanted to hear a classic @kanyewest album on a big system in an arena with thousands of other people.

For Ye’ it’s research and development in it’s most collaborative form. It’s not artist development, it’s artist evolvement. Upper echelon A&R. He tests new music, perfects it, rehearses performances, feels the crowd reaction.

Few artists would do this.
Few artists could do this.

If more artists took this approach to develop their art maybe we wouldn’t be in this Rap recession that industry people talk about.
