A walk to Wayland Smithy is always a good outing - 5000+ years of history on the path and with these stones. Wrote about it in Linescapes - here reviewed by @MimDarling https://t.co/qumBCLcLWd
Solstice sundown. Longer days are on their way. The birds, of course, know this very well. Already, Great Tit, Coal Tit, Robin, Dunnock, Treecreeper, Mistle Thrush, Song Thrush, Collard Dove and Goldcrest are singing. Woodpecker is drumming, and Raven sings in his own way, too.
Listen to @BBCRadio4 today at 15:00 to catch Open Country's visit to The Hurst. @HelenMark01 meets Arvon tutors @MimDarling and @patrick_barkham who share their techniques for finding your voice and turning observation into a compelling story.
