There’s a Korean adage that says you can only see as much as you know. I’m beginning to see how it applies beyond literal knowledge. In romantic and professional relationships for instance, it’s hard to see how much better you deserve if you’ve never been exposed to better.
That’s why we must fight for exposure with everything we have, so we can broaden our perspectives and understand what “better” means.
The hill I’ll always die on is this, if your partner tells you how they want to be loved, it takes nothing from you to do it.
Buy the flower, send the random text saying how much you love them, plan suprise dates. Loving someone your way isn’t the same as loving them the way they feel it.
This is regardless of gender.
We’re impressed.

Quite a few people have asked whether they can attend the 567th inaugural lecture online. That's not typical here so we thank @CoMUIIbadan for making it possible. Note the time change - it is now 3PM on Thur 21 Nov, Trenchard Hall @UniIbadan or Youtube https://t.co/9q16NxBqxI
Thank God that my aunt didn't have this kind of mindset back then because she took I and my sister in as her kids after our mom died (I was 4 while she was 2). She gave us everything she gives her children and never made us feel the loss of our mum.
Your siblings kids are yours.
