Joey didn’t hold back:

I work the front desk at a small doctor’s office, and I wish people could see what happens on the other side of the phone. Every day, older patients call us confused.

They are told to use the patient portal, upload documents, check lab results online, fill out forms before the visit, and confirm everything through a link. Some of them do not know what a portal is.

Some do not have a smartphone.
Some have one, but they are afraid to click the wrong thing.
Last week, a man in his late 80s called about his test results.

He said, “Ma’am, I don’t mean to bother you, but the computer says I have a message and I don’t know how to open it.”
He sounded ashamed.
That broke my heart.

He should not have to feel ashamed for needing a human being.
Technology can be helpful. I understand that.

But when people who built this country are made to feel helpless because everything became a login and a password, we have gone too far.
Not everything needs to be an app.
Not every answer should be hidden behind a screen.

Sometimes people need a voice.
A patient person.
A real human who says, “Don’t worry, I can help you.”
Progress should not leave seniors behind.

Because one day, the world will move faster than us too.
And I hope someone is kind enough to slow down.

Even if a player blindsides me, apparently there still isn’t enough evidence to call a foul. The league is getting ridiculous day by day.
If the players continue to target and foul me like this, I’ll seriously consider leaving the WNBA.”

The men and women serving aboard the Lincoln are warriors. They just spent almost a year deployed and perhaps even to their own surprise, much of it fighting a war. I’m absolutely passionate about this wave of stories and even interviews this week because you don’t run to the media when war starts to feel like war.

But I should have first expressed my gratitude for their service and sacrifice before I criticized the actions of a few of them. Even the ones I criticized have endured it and I am grateful for their service as well. They have my respect and my support. All of them, even the ones who’ve complained in a way I disagree with.

War is not easy or comfortable or convenient. And you all saw me go back there in real time -on air- seeing my brothers fall and finding absolute anger at the notion that anyone wearing the same uniform might expect or feel entitled to more than them.

I wish this generation of warrior didn’t have to find this out firsthand. War tests your resilience, it tears at your soul. It tests your mind and your body and no one comes home without leaving a part of themselves there. And bringing it home with them. I’m not exempt from that natural law and it was on full display this past weekend. I don’t apologize for that and if they were my Marines I’d have spoken to them exactly the same way but it would have been received differently as I would have been in the suck alongside them and not in front of a camera.

These men and women experienced war differently, but will no doubt be affected just the same. Their deployment is historical and sailors will talk about it as we talk about our milestones and epic adventures.

I humbly ask that no one use my passion as a license to diminish their honorable service and sacrifice. They’ll come home heroes and we would be ungrateful and unpatriotic to welcome them as anything less.

You may have noticed my recent absence. I’ve been open about my eye surgery due to a retinal tear. However, I later discovered that this was caused by a childhood sports injury. Regrettably, I’ve sustained another retina detachment, which is common after the initial tear. Yesterday, I underwent surgery again with the best care team. I want to express my deepest gratitude to my colleagues, Fox management, and our audience for their unwavering support during this challenging time. I’m optimistic that I’ll be back soon!

Seeing Sophie reportedly stand alone among her Fever teammates doing it was powerful. And yes, I was disappointed to see Caitlin Clark standing beside her without doing the same.

That flag represents people who sacrificed everything so we could stand there freely.
