I’ve seen this picture several times over the last few days, and every time it hits as hard as the first.

The juxtaposition says everything. In the West, a woman can become an Archbishop. In Islam women are being reduced to anonymous figures buried beneath black, head-to-toe coverings.

You couldn’t ask for a clearer illustration of two radically different visions of women’s place in society.

And yet in the West, we’re constantly told we must embrace every culture as though every culture is interchangeable with our own, and as though there are no meaningful differences between them.

Well, no. They’re not all the same. And I refuse to believe that treating women like this is something we should simply accept as normal or okay.

I can't get this photo out my mind. Centuries of incremental adaptation and contextual or applied theology has given us sex equality in the Church of England, such that the highest office is now held by a woman. The visual contrast—a Christian woman in authority standing next to a fully-veiled Muslim woman in submission—is stark. What ‘harmony’ can there be with an Islamic tradition which treats a woman’s face as something to be hidden, and women as innately subordinate, being ‘deficient in intellect and religion’?

Islam governs. Islam is supreme. The world submits.
Everyone who is not Muslim is processed under Sharia:
* Jews and Christians: convert, pay jizya and live as dhimmis, or die.
* Apostates: die.
* Anyone who resists or fights Islam: die.
* Everyone else: Islam or the sword. No third option.

That is the program. Not a “misreading.” Not “extremists.” “Not Islamists”, it’s The classical end-state.
So anyone helping Muslims expand their power in a country is not being kind. He is paving the road to his own subjugation, or his own grave.
Let that sink in.
