In 2014, a young man from Aichi Prefecture began his League of Legends pro career.

Since then, he:

- Won the LJL 12 times
- Became the first Japanese player to be imported to another region (LEC)
- Competed at Worlds 6 times
- Made Japanese League fans believe that anything is possible

Shunsuke "Evi" Murase is a paragon of Japanese LoL, and a beacon of endless positivity. Selfless on and off the Rift, Evi approaches each challenge the same way he regards the camera: with a smile on his face and a thumb in the air.

発表にもありました通り、今年をもって、11年間続けてきたプロゲーマーを引退します。

今振り返ると、本当にいろいろなことが思い出されます。

WCSでブラジル代表に初めて勝ち、予選を突破したこと。
MSIでDWGをあと一歩のところまで追い詰めながら、逆転されたこと。
世界の舞台に何度も挑戦し、ついにC9を倒してグループステージへ進出できたこと。
日本人として初めてメジャーリージョンに挑戦できたこと。
そして日本に帰ってきて、LJLで優勝し、再びWCSの舞台に立てたこと。
今年、これまで何度挑んでも勝てなかったGAMに、ようやく勝つことができたこと。
どれも僕一人では絶対に成し遂げられなかった、皆さんと一緒に作った、本当に素晴らしい思い出です。
これからは今までとは違う立場になりますが、僕が日本のLoLコミュニティから受けた恩を、少しずつ返していきたいと思っています。
これまで培ってきた技術や経験を若い選手たちに伝えたり、自分なりの形で、これからも日本のLoLに貢献していけたらと思っています。

ここまで11年間続けてこられたのも、応援してくれた皆さん、支えてくれた皆さんのおかげです。
本当にありがとうございました。
