My migrant parents didn't speak a word of English when they came from Greece. Raised 2 human rights lawyers with 8 degrees & an Order of Australia. Under this government they never would have been allowed in. Since when does speaking English determine your worth? Can you relate?
We’ve had to think outside the box during this time & 1 if the things I did was to buy a school phone for myself & APs. Today I’m working from home & calling our large families from my school number, talking to them about our plans from week 3. Looks like we are on the same page
My advice to the Victorian Government was and continues to be that to slow the spread of coronavirus, schools should undertake remote learning for term two.

What study is @ScottMorrisonMP using to inform the plea for teachers to ‘keep schools open’ (like it’s our decision?). What testing of school students has been done to evidence this? I know of quite a few schools closed due to COVID-19. Why is parliament closed?

Students need to be praised for their supportive efforts in times like these. I love seeing my class interact online and helping each other out. It may not always work, but they are trying. #onlinelearning
Yes, I would do anything to see my class full again, to put my tables in groups, to embrace my Ss each day. But it warms my heart to know that although my c/r may look empty, my class couldn’t be more engaged as they work from 🏠. So proud of their commitment to online learning💖
