@laurenhopkinsss I wanted it to be good when I first heard about it and then finding out the author wasn’t even a serious pre-professional student was a let down and the book just fell so flat for me

@laurenhopkinsss Right? She surely could have made her point without blatantly lying. It’s so easy to fact check and it just makes me laugh. Honestly it’s the one thing from that book that actually stuck in my mind, which is probably not a great sign

@saracontis All of those teams have at least one person who has citizenship for that country, though. I think the difference here is that this team doesn’t have citizenship and also doesn’t train in the country.

@ssicksakamoto All season I have been thinking that the ultimate goal of an OGM for Kaori might be better served by her not going in as a 4x world champion. I think this is the setup for a truly incredible Olympic season for her.

Last week AWC hosted rising scholars from around the world to discuss the U.S. role in escalating world affairs. Panels included a range of topics, from the Ancient Roman statesman Cicero to the modern characters in China, Russia, and the United States.
