The systematic dismissal of Afghanistan is fueled when others speak for us, describe who we are & dehumanize us in the process.
Your War, Our Lives is now available 🇦🇫 Each short story in this collection is paired with original art by @ArtLordsNet
Good suggestion, and thank you to Mayor Mamdani, who said that if he meets King Charles III, he will personally raise the return of the Koh-i-Noor diamond (الماس کوه نور) to Afghanistan.

A photo from the 1960s in Kabul - how many people can we upset with just one image? 😂
Are you mad at the skirt? At the burqas? At the man wearing something tribal?
OR, are you able to handle the thought of co-existence & freedom of choice?
#Afghanistan
What a beautiful way to ignite hope at the Ottawa Civic Space Summit with #ArtLords live mural painting and the cheers from the École secondaire publique De La Salle choir students. #artivism#OttawaSummit#OCSS2026#IgniteHope
In response to Trump, a lot of people are explaining the history of our region, defending the civility & accomplishments.
To whom??? There is no need to prove or defend anything, any and all human beings have the right to life and liberty, period.
Dropping by this app to say Taliban are still an unelected, oppressive, insecure and ego driven group of US manufactured and Pakistan raised soldiers. Time won't alter that. 🤷🏼♀️
In 2021, I told the Afghans I worked with that I would never forget them—and I never will. I promised to keep speaking up, no matter what. NGOs came and went, but I’m still here. Call it whatever you want, but Afghanistan broke and humbled my heart in ways that never left. 💔🇦🇫❤️🫡
A big thank you to our dear sister Mina jan @minasharif and donor Seraj for helping this family with a Kabul Job Cart in #Kabul#Afghanistan. They have recently returned from Iran and all living in one room. With this help they will be able to earn a small income. Thank you both
I was finally able to put in an order to purchase @minasharif’s book!
I really wish Mina would host another space with readings from it soon. 😊 It was very impactful and the pictures in the book are the best graphic designs I’ve ever seen!
@erinflorez01 for sure I'd love to have another book talk! Thank you for the kind words it even makes me almost want to return to this dark little APP!!

1,622 days of Taliban restrictions against #Afghan girls.
Is #Afghanistan a graveyard for human rights, as some have claimed?
The segregation and persecution of ordinary Afghans, especially women in this case, can never be normalised.
You are not forgotten.

Pakistan spent decades backing and sheltering the Afghan Taliban — its defence minister acknowledged that to me on camera.
Now it says Taliban-ruled Afghanistan is providing sanctuary to militants attacking Pakistan.
The consequences are unfolding in real time.
We welcome new donors at https://t.co/sJLThvbSJB. Some wish to remain anonymous and others just donate without us knowing who they are. With this help we are able to continue to deliver food packages to mostly women and children in #Kabul#Afghanistan. The families are grateful
@farzanaalispark@IhsanTipu@ZiauddinY Many #Taliban leaders educated their daughters abroad—often in Pakistan—while denying millions of Afghan girls the same right.
#Pakistan cannot wash its hands of the ecosystem that enabled this duplicity. 3/3
@minasharif
And some of you, knowing this, blatently told the world "it's just going to take some time to update the uniforms" , so you could get paid. How much money did it take to sacrifice the women of Afghanistan?
“Afghanistan might seem safe now, there are not a lot of explosions, but it is a graveyard kind of security. The most peaceful place is the grave: there nobody protests,” says Dr Sima Samar. https://t.co/FLBAOhztJ8

As usual, generalizations about Afghanistan's people. As usual, labeling us all as violent & as people whose ideal was always to move abroad and take. But for those who are emotionally mature enough to see all people as nuanced - I share "Your War, Our Lives"
We have to thanks our dear kind supporter Mina jan @minasharif and her donors for the wonderful support of keeping Orphanage A in #Kabul#Afghanistan also warm this upcoming winter with lots of wood and coal. We hope to get blankets to all these children too soon. Thank you🌺
