This man is an actual superhero. He saved hundreds of lives by blocking attackers who had already hurt multiple people at Sydney's Westfield Bondi Junction mall.

For women, singing is forbidden in Iran. This woman is bravely singing in one of Esfahan’s most historical mosques. When the security agent tried to stop her, she resisted and continued. Brave Iranian women like her will some day bring down this most anti-woman regime.
The most successful and effective movements for social justice all entailed building coalitions across diverse groups with a common objective of equality and equity. Tribal warfare is a failed, dangerous, and violent approach.
The idea that Afghan Republican forces weren't willing to fight for their country might be the single most perfidious lie told about the war in Afghanistan.
More than 60.000 Afghan soldiers died fighting the Taliban. Their sacrifice deserves honor, not gaslighting. 🇦🇫

Chloe Jade's latest video courageously delves into how the Taliban exploits travel bloggers, including her own experiences, to present a misleading image of Afghanistan to the West. Grateful to Chloe for uncovering the truth behind the curtain and contrasting it with the reality faced by Afghan citizens. #FreeAfghanistan
Great benefits for 🇦🇺🇬🇧 with the #AUKFTA expected to enter into force on 31 May 2023. The FTA will increase exports, create more work & travel opportunities for young people, while helping reduce the cost of living for everyday Australians https://t.co/jwo97OiTdm
The #AUKFTA includes provisions on #digitaltrade & #cybersecurity expected to benefit providers in both 🇬🇧&🇦🇺 by creating a more open and predictable regulatory environment for cross-border digital services & promoting cooperation. Read more 👇🏼 https://t.co/XaMkP4Vmyp
If monarchy remained in Afghanistan, half a century of war & destruction would have been avoided. Despite many drawbacks of monarchy, in certain contexts, it can be a stabilizing force until politics & society can organically evolve to allow for alternative models of governance.
Last year, a coworker randomly asked me to hand-deliver an antique violin across the country. I said yes, because why not. I had no idea what I was getting into, and now I need your help. A 🧵
Now that I'm a civilian again, I can finally share the ridiculous but true story of when I met @russellcrowe (Russell this one reflects on me, not you 🙂).
It was a balmy 2005 spring in Glebe, the grungy corner of Sydney where I lived while studying at @Sydney_Uni...
This is Matiullah Wesa, an Afghan who founded a campaign called ‘Pen Path’ to encourage the education of girls, especially in rural areas. He was arrested outside a Kabul mosque last night after attending prayers. Two carloads of officials beat him up and dragged him away.
Despite high security allert and risk of being arrested by Taliban, In defiance of the Taliban's ban on girls' education, a group of women's rights activists took to the streets of Kabul to protest, chanting "education is our red line."
The Taliban once again responded with violence, dispersed the gathering.
551 days since the Taliban BANNED girls from going to school. Afghanistan is ONLY country in the world that has made education a crime for teenage girls.
These empty girls' classrooms symbolize a grave violation of human rights. The world's silence will not be forgotten.
