Last night, I attended the SFUSD board meeting and delivered a clear message during public comment: keep our schools open, make them competitive again, and put an end to political maneuvering. Watch my full statement below:
Over 300+ parents showed up to the Sutro Elementary town hall because they care deeply about the future of their schools. Parents from Yick Wo Elementary attended my press conference condemning school closures. These families deserve to have their voices heard in the conversation about closures. Are we truly listening to them? #SFUSD
Should San Francisco families really be asked to give up their small community schools for the sake of the public good? Yes, they should. https://t.co/TpN38aMfQu
“Board of Education candidate Min Chang is the lone contender who vocally opposes school closures altogether, responding to The Examiner’s questionnaire that it “will only make things worse and drive more families away from public schools.”

Last night the community united to voice their opposition to school closures. I stand with them in the fight to keep Sutro Elementary, and all schools in our district, open.

@VoteandChangeSF@AaronPeskin I agree …..closing schools is not the answer. I have alternative solutions that will fix the fiscal crisis. It’s doable …. We need the right people on the board with relevant experience. https://t.co/6K0sfM1Wzo
Had a wonderful weekend campaigning at the Alemany Farmers Market and participating in the Italian Heritage Parade! I spoke to voters about keeping our schools open and getting #SFUSD headed back in the right direction!
@VoteandChangeSF@SFUSD_Supe@windnewspaper@lihanlihan@kolyn_cheang Closing schools is not the answer. These schools are the lifeblood of our communities and are small by intent. Closing schools does not solve the fiscal crisis and only makes it worse. This will drive more families away from public schools.
PRESS RELEASE: I’m the only candidate for the SF board committed to keeping schools opened. We can’t solve our physical crisis by closing schools, and our community deserves transparency in this process. I’ll keep fighting for our kids. #SFUSD
At the school board meeting where they are closing schools .. I am not supportive of closing schools and will work hard to keep our schools open. #SFUSD

I just cast my ballot for the SF Board of Education and am proud to see my name on it! Despite the challenges at SFUSD, I am hopeful and optimistic about getting our district back on the right track.
With the support of our community I’m ready to make a difference.
@balltheory There are 10 others including 1 incumbent … but no one else with ceo experience and ability to turn around businesses in crisis….hope you can vote for me!
Glad to have joined @techmaven_keith on the Silicon Valley Insider! We discussed my journey through public schools, higher education, and my work experience at the highest levels of business around the world.

Glad to have participated in last night's forum hosted by the Association of Asian American Administrators! My message is clear: Tackle the near fiscal crisis, keep schools OPEN, and ensure a quality education for ALL of our students. #SFUSD
BOE candidate forum by Association of Asian American Administrators (AAAA) and The Association of Chinese Teachers (TACT) was great, especially with clear question on candidates’ fiscal experience, when SFUSD faces a crisis. Memorable and direct answers by select candidates 🧵 @minchangsf@RayforBOE@annhsu25@jjersin @eyessfboe
