I’m not of the opinion that we should sell Balde. But I watched Flick’s press conference when he was asked about him, and he kept emphasizing that Balde is not improving. He watches these players in training. He knows what he’s seeing.

And honestly, we’ve seen it too. Balde hasn’t really improved in the last two years. Maybe leaving Barcelona is exactly what will revive him. He’s comfortable here, surrounded by his friends. Maybe he needs to leave that comfort zone and challenge himself.

But if we sell him, PUT A BUY-BACK CLAUSE OR MATCHING RIGHT. Don’t completely lose hold of him. Let him spend 2-3 years away, improve, and if he becomes the player we know he can be, bring him back.

All of you dogpiling Flick are being too emotional. Flick has to deliver trophies. He cannot babysit a player who isn’t improving just because he’s been at Barcelona for 17 years. If he believes another player is better, what exactly do you want him to do?

If we sign a CB, we can move Gerard Martín back to LB, we’ll have Gerard Martín, Cancelo and Pesquer as our options there. If Balde has to leave, fine, but make sure we have a buy-back clause. Don’t lose him completely.
