ગુજરાત વિધાનસભામાં GPSCમાં સભ્યોની નિમણૂકનો પ્રશ્ન ઉઠાવતા પાટણના ધારાસભ્ય ડૉ. કિરીટ પટેલે સરકાર પર પ્રહાર કર્યા. તેમણે કહ્યું કે GPSCમાં કુલ 7 સભ્યોની જોગવાઈ સામે માત્ર 2 સભ્યોની નિમણૂક થઈ છે અને 5 જગ્યાઓ ખાલી છે. કિરીટ પટેલે જણાવ્યું કે ગત વર્ષે પણ તેમણે આ મુદ્દે સવાલ કર્યો હતો અને આજે પણ ગત વર્ષ જેવો જ જવાબ મળ્યો છે. તેમણે આક્ષેપ કર્યો કે સરકાર દ્વારા GPSC સભ્યોની નિમણૂક કરવામાં આવતી નથી.

Every year, lakhs of students leave their homes to chase a dream in another city. But are we giving them a safe place to live?
In Delhi, around 7 lakh students are enrolled, while hostel capacity is barely 30,000 — just 1 in 31 gets a hostel.
Why not identify vacant government land around universities and allow/build safe, affordable student hostels there? Universities could also be given additional building permissions to create more on-campus accommodation.
Students get safety. Parents get peace of mind. Universities and governments generate revenue. And, most importantly, we protect lives.

Sometimes, a small change in policy can protect someone’s biggest dream. ❤️
