Yesterday, the #Swiftie fanbase learned of a little girl who has brain cancer. This little angel was one of the kids Taylor visited at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. The family was struggling to meet the financial burden of caring for their daughter and decided to try to sell the autographed book from Taylor.

The Swifties sprang into action! Contacted the family, "bought" the book, learned of and shared a gofundme and the rest is just an amazing testament to the infamous quote from Margaret Mead - “Never underestimate the power of a small group of committed people to change the world. In fact, it is the only thing that ever has.”

The gofundme had only raised a little over $2,000 before and now is at over $20,000!! Small gifts, $13 (some a little more, some a little less) from all over the world.

In 2000 the NFL started collecting data of women viewership. They hired firms and spent millions of dollars to increase the women viewership. Although I would love to say it’s because they want us here, I’m a realist and say, Follow the money. Why would makeup companies want to pay for advertisements when this isn’t their target audience?

Prior to Taylor Swift’s debut game, the women viewership was less than 25%. By the end of the season, women viewership is now at 47% - almost HALF of mens. Makeup companies like NYX and Elf quickly secured commercial spots.

In just content revenue, Tay generated $331.5 million for the NFL. Kelce jerseys spiked 400%. NFL had its highest regular season viewership and the highest Super Bowl viewership. The cap space increased an additional $30 million this year due to “extraordinary increase in media revenue.”

So to you Dads, Brads, and Chads, when you complain about a quick glimpse of her during your football game, remember to keep that same energy when our cap space continues to increase and your favorite players get to stay on your team because there’s additional money for their contract.
