Have you ever wondered if God can use someone like you? I know I've wondered that about me. We mean well, but we don't always do well. We have breakthroughs and breakdowns, often in the same hour.

In my new book, God Never Gives Up On You, I'll introduce you to what I call the Tilted Halo Society and one of the Bible's most prominent members of this group... Jacob. He was less a prodigy and more a prodigal. Strong of savvy, low on conscience. Yet God never turned his back on Jacob.

If you wonder if God could use a person whose halo has slipped, then the story of Jacob is what you need. His story reminds us that God uses imperfect people for his perfect plans.

Be encouraged, friend. If God can use Jacob to accomplish his plan, he can use us, too.

God is the solution for every single one of our troubles.
God is within us & perfectly equips us to know what to do.
God is with us therefore there is nothing we’ll face alone.
Evidence of His constant work is all around us if only we will choose to see it.

Who do you need to share your story and your tears with?

There’s someone else in the world who would drown in their own tears if not for seeing yours. And when you make one other human simply see they aren’t alone, you make the world a better place.

Our seasons of suffering are not for nothing.

They will grow us... shape us... soften us.

They will allow us to experience God’s comfort and compassion. And we will find life-giving purpose and meaning when we allow God to take our painful experiences and comfort others.

On the hard days, let's remember... God will restore us. He will strengthen us. He will make us strong in the midst of our feeling weak. And there’s a perfecting of us that’s happening in the process.

There is purpose even in this. There is hope in the midst of our pain.

Don't forget... God has been faithful before. He'll be faithful again.

Each day as we take in the truth of God’s Word, we take in Jesus. And the truth we take in is preparing us for every single thing He sees coming our way.

He knows. He cares. And He wants us to be fully prepared.

God’s promises for you are in process. Right now. Even in circumstances you can’t see any evidence of good yet.

Remember, “not yet” doesn’t mean “not ever.”

Part of learning to see beautiful again is recognizing that a hard season doesn’t have to be full of only hard days.

There’s still beauty to be found.
There’s still joy to be found.
There’s still peace to be found.

There are still so many reasons to treasure life and thank God.

When we hear Satan’s lies, it's time to saturate our thoughts with God's Word and read it like the love letter it is.

When our heart aches over not-yet-answered prayers, we can stop and remember the times God has clearly provided for us in ways that only He could. Ways both big and small.

Looking at God's faithfulness to provide helps us see if He did it before, He will do it again.

I know how hard it is to be in a low valley you can't see your way out of. But there’s always a way with God.

Stay close to Him. Stay close to people who love Him. He will make a miraculous way, friend. One that you couldn’t have imagined. One that is perfectly timed & planned.
