Interested in economics & philosophy, etc. Tryna keep this short. I don't know everything, Just learning & sharing. Lot's of opinions. Interested in debates🙂.
@SIBONAKALISO_ZA The solution for this since people seem to not wanna accept this is to go 50/50 all the time. If your partner does something for you, do something for them. Don’t let things that are done for you pile up coz that causes feelings of entitlement on the other person.
@GodPenuel Here’s an idea since we’re talking about this. Everyone here let’s form something. Donate, say R20 each? every month. And try build somethings for ourselves🤷🏾….
@eNCA This question is stupid tbh. All human beings engage in racism either knowingly or unknowingly, intentionally or unintentionally. Everyday!. Nothing anyone says or does will ever end racism or any other discrimination. Doesn’t make it okay but it’s facts!. Hard to swallow I know
They aren’t bringing enough money in per month. Because if they did… They wouldn’t be in that position. The problem mostly is money. A.K.A lack of it, not the government
Poor people living in poor areas will always experience the worst things, crime, corruption, lack of basic services until they realise that the problem isn’t necessarily always the government but them.
THEY JUST DON’T EARN ENOUGH!
Our ancestors may have fought fierce wars, but it’s clear that the most important thing was for them to win. Not that they were able to go toe to toe with their colonisers…
A win was needed! No matter how it happened. But a Win. They lost!
Perhaps being rich in minerals isn’t a proper measure of wealth? Or it doesn’t tell the whole story.
Maybe a lot of things need to come together first and that being rich in minerals is just a cherry on top🤔
We are here now as a result of the failure of our ancestors to defend their land! Now we’re burdened with the task of taking it back!
What were they doing? Why did they lose? Why weren’t they powerful enough if thy were so advanced and wealthy?
“Africa is wealthy”… No it’s not. Or rather… Maybe there’s more important things than to be rich with minerals? How did a considerably poorer in minerals continent colonise the ‘Giant’ Africa?
I wonder what we’re they expecting…
Not to be exploited? Not to be taken advantage off? Not to be colonised? That strangers from another continent are going to be nice? That they gonna have ‘Ubuntu’?
Maybe we’re not as special as we think we are. Our ancestors had all the wealth. But no proper vision of the future. Of future invasions. Of possible exploitation. Coz if they did, they would’ve done more knowing they stand to lose a lot!
You can’t expect other nations to not want to exploit your country and wealth. It’s your responsibility to protect it at all costs. Sadly our ancestors failed us!
Number 3: Why weren’t they smart enough to build robust militaries, which are very powerful to protect their wealth and signal to the world that they’re no place to be massed with?
