Jean Smart has joined the cast of “The Families Stone,” the sequel to the 2005 Christmas comedy “The Family Stone.”

The synopsis: “Twenty years after their mother’s passing, the Stone family reunites for Christmas only to face the season’s biggest surprise: their father has unexpectedly invited the woman he’s fallen in love with (Smart) to meet the family.”

Rachel McAdams (Amy Stone), Sarah Jessica Parker (Meredith Morton), Claire Danes (Julie Morton), Dermot Mulroney (Everett Stone), Craig T. Nelson (Kelly Stone), Luke Wilson (Ben Stone) and more are returning. The sequel is set to begin filming in New York in the fall.

Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe has quit his long-term relationship with Nike to become the face of Swiss company On’s first expansion into football boots.

On has also hired former France and Arsenal star Thierry Henry as the firm’s Director of Football.

Henry has been secretly working in the role since 2025 and played a role in convincing Mbappe, 27, to join upon the expiration of his contract with Nike this summer.
