@SHROUD_OF_TURON@HistorianUSA1@LynneBP_294 You stayed away from your family for 30 years??? I would much rather my kids admit they need some help than stay away until I'm 5 years from death. You missed SO much. That doesn't make you a winner.
@TSMassey@SamanthaD882096@jlovesweather I don't know where you live or where you got that graphic, but gas is up where I live. Might want to check your sources.
BREAKING: OOPS! Trump misses the deadline to request reconsideration of the Supreme Court's ruling against his birthright citizenship order โ sealing his fate.
These people can't even do their fascism right...
โI will be asking for a Rehearing by the United States Supreme Court, IMMEDIATELY. This miscarriage of justice will destroy America if they donโt change their absolutely insane decision,โ Trump wrote on Truth Social on July 9 after the court knocked down his blatantly unconstitutional attempt to end birthright citizenship. That right is guaranteed under the Fourteenth Amendment.
Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and Neil Gorsuch dissented against the ruling, proving once again that the Supreme Court is sliding slowly into a far-right institution that will shred our rights if a Republican President asks them to.
Chalk this up as yet another promise that Trump failed to deliver on and in this case we're thrilled to see it. The deadline to file a request for reconsideration was yesterday and the Justice Department failed to deliver the documents. They had been allowed 25 days to petition the court.
Whether the failure was a result of laziness, run-of-the-mill MAGA incompetence, or a tacit admission that they expect to lose any appeal is unclear. What is clear is that this is a massive victory for countless Americans who have never known any other home and who were staring down the barrel of possible deportation at the hands of a white nationalist regime.
It's sad that we even have to ask this question now, but do you support the U.S. Constitution? Republicans certainly don't.
Please โค๏ธ and share if you support birthright citizenship!
@mateyaje@GeneralMCNews If you agree, you wouldn't post this BS. It's time for lawmakers from both sides to start working together. Lies, insults, accusations - these get us nowhere.
@mateyaje@GeneralMCNews Neither side is meeting their pledge to serve the people. They are all serving themselves, especially the POTUS. We need to push for term limits for all of them and stop the lifetime suckling at Lady Liberty's teat.
