Reporter: There is a report than an army helicopter went down in the strait. Are the soldiers ok?
Trump: Uh the pilots are fine.
Reporter: What brought it down?
Trump: Um we’ll issue a report tomorrow
Putting everything else aside, Vance's comments downplay the problems with the Obama deal.
There were some verification issues, but the bigger problems were that:
1) The nuclear restrictions would sunset
2) still allowed enrichment
3) did nothing to restrict the ballistic missile program or terror proxy arming/funding
4) Freed up billions in funding that gave relief to the regime, which were almost immediately redirected to 3. So the IRGC focused on expanding its reach/control and preparing for future conflict (which they ultimately want).
This is important to understand because any deal that just gives the IRGC a ton of funding that can be used to arm/fund terror proxies and allows them to continue enrichment will be just as bad, if not worse, than the Obama deal.
Those should be red lines. Better no deal and keep sanctions while limiting the nuclear program via other means than to do that.
I will say, as ridiculous and stupid and clownish as this whole last 2.5 months have been...
It's difficult to call it a disaster in literal terms.
Iran is in worse shape now than they were at the end of Epic Fury.
They could obviously be in much worse shape still, and the opportunity cost incurred is substantial.
But the actual cost here is relatively low until further notice.
"We just wanted to stand and watch one guy dribble a ton. And then when the ball got passed, there were no quick decisions by the guy receiving the basketball."
Mike Brown talks about the Knicks' stagnancy on offense:
I got to see inside the heart of Ukraine’s new strategy.
This secret underground weapons factory in Ukraine makes hundreds of long-range drones every day.
Fire Points drones are hitting targets nearly 1,000 miles inside of Russia.
Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, says these deep strikes, which he calls “long range sanctions”, are changing the dynamics of the war in Kyiv’s favor.
"Offensively, we were about as stagnant as I've seen us all year, which helped with the 13 turnovers."
Mike Brown talks about the Knicks being stagnant offensively and their turnover issues tonight:
Utter bullshit from start to finish.
They are either lying. or are fundamentally uncapable of understanding the motivations of regimes like those of Iran and Russia (and if so, of China).
@IanBegley Horrific turnovers by the Knicks all game including two horrible ones coming out in the 3rd quarter that gave away the lead gained in the 2nd in under a minute
Good summation, the turnovers were horrendous as was the defensive effort and shots.
Knicks still have not played a good game this series and they are up 2-1. Be better and this ends in 5.
For the first time in almost 2 months, the Knicks have lost.
Too many turnovers. Too many misses on good looks. We are still in control.
The league is thrilled with tonight’s result.
Ladies, you need to be babymaxxxxing...especially later in life.
Women who had a child after the age of 40 were FOUR TIMES more likely to live to 100.
Pregnancies massively increase progesterone, the most healing female hormone.
It has gotta be DEMORALIZING for the Spurs and their fans. They can definitively outplay the Knicks for long, LONG stretches and by the end of the run/quarter/half/game the Knicks are up. It’s insane
