@rebeccamakkai Soo many gorgeous middle grade books. A few of my favorites:
Wolf Hollow and Echo Mountain, both by Lauren Wolk.
The War that Saved My Life + sequel by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley.
Anything by Katherine Applegate (Wishtree, The One and Only Ivan, Willodeen)
@clhubes About 5 minutes before my first was born, I made my husband bring the rest of my unfinished popsicle. It was an unmedicated birth I was feeling all of it, but in that moment the only thing I wanted was that popsicle.
@invisiblegirl99@clhubes My daughter as well, when she was a toddler! We had to keep a super close eye on her anywhere (but especially in airports, for some reason), because she would run after people yelling, "I like your baby!"
@TBRetc I always forget, too. BUT, I do remember that I picked up Betty on your recommendation and IT IS SO GOOD. I finished it yesterday and it's definitely one of my best of the year.
This is Major and Champ. They are the dogs of @JoeBiden and @DrBiden. Champ has already been to the White House, but Major hasn’t yet. Champ can’t wait to show him around. Both 14/10 would be an honor to pet
@TheUncorkedLib I know we discussed elsewhere--I'm with you on this. Mine crept down like yours last week, then shot up 90% (!) on Saturday, and is now creeping back down again. I could only laugh on Saturday and just don't care anymore.
@TheUncorkedLib I'm just not bothering to analyze at this point. I'm still feeding the beast while things hold steady, but everything is so erratic over there that working out a new strategy seems like a waste of time.
@norrie_reads So, I think the Mid Ten is a fictional college athletic conference. For example, we have the Big 10, and others. If he's been named "All Mid-Ten," he's probably one of the best players in the conference at the end of the season.
@downthebookhole I have about an hour left in this book and I'm feeling the same. Do I care about plasm? But I kind of want to see what happens? Might not care at all if it wasn't in a weird gothic school...🤷♀️
Searching for a summer must-listen? Mind Joggle (@alcasey) recommends #InFiveYears by @RebeccaASerle, read by @meganhilty. "This is a love story, but not in the way you expect, with great characters and relationships, and I couldn't stop listening." https://t.co/Nk2a9Zom9X
