@richard1999jon1@Politic56721677 I expect if he'd gone with the rest of them he wouldn't have had any problems. He had kicked one of the officers and only then did he start getting hit properly, he never let go of the headlock on the cop
But maybe some of the hits were excessive force to be honest
@mickarm1978@KingBobIIV Thanks, it does look worse from this angle
I guess they wanted everyone out of that area and he was refusing
He didn't get hit badly until he'd already kicked an officer, then went to grab him and didn't let go
But yes, tbh it does look like slightly unnecessary force overall
@temetnoscesax@AndrewW1013@aussie_sarge Yeah I don't see why a religion or culture should exempt you from safety rules. Same goes for the Scots and the Sikhs
@KTNB0TPN@LadySmart84@Anglothule You think the UK police - an organisation famously full of red tape and health and safety - allows training on the streets where they throw molotive cocktails and set other police on fire?
@AndrewW1013@temetnoscesax@aussie_sarge Scots also have a cultural exemption to carry a blade as part of their traditional dress
Tbh, I wouldn't be agaisnt banning both their knives and the sikhs'.. I could start a religion where it's ok to carry a gun, does that mean it's ok for me?
@STarrant34419@Jenniferarcuri As if black people have never faced police brutality in the UK?
You're deluded
You seriously think the mostly white police force are anti-white racists
@Redit_nm@PeterMcCormack I'll happily support messages against racism, which is what the knee was. It wasn't for Floyd specifically
I do not support riots that happened over a fictional anti-white institutional racism in the police force. It was one tragic incident, there is no widespread issue
@A_A1705@MaximusChud@Matthew40397988 The officer didn't initiate violence here. They pulled the guys arm because they wanted to clear the area and he was refusing, he was in a bush of some random persons front garden
Only after the guy kicked the officer did other officers start hitting him
