@RealKeriSmith I'm sorry to hear that, Keri. I got the vaccination (2 injections) for that not long ago, so hopefully that does the trick. I've know people who've had it. Not pleasant to say the least. ☹️
@rupasubramanya I don’t think you find anyone in the CPC who can improve on Poilievre. I’d rather not have a milquetoast “controlled opposition” leader like O’Toole in charge. I’m also glad PP beat Charest in the leadership race.
@Albertadoctors You're a good example of why there is a legitimation crisis in various institutions. When institutions such as professional or legal bodies become corrupted by ideologues and activists, people lose trust in them. I'm thankful that NWC is there to stop you.
I think J Peterson and Jon Haidt had good insights on this:
Left: tear down walls, flatten hierarchies, human nature is malleable, focuses on systems, blind to moral structures and unintended consequences, apply the gas pedal more, big on the care/harm moral foundation
Right: Preserve walls, hierarchies and traditions, human nature is hard wired, can be blind to corrupt traditions or systems, less naive about radical changes, apply the brakes more, bigger on the fairness and tradition moral foundations
@SwipeWright Not much difference it seems between ideological possession and demonic possession; both will utter obscenities, strange words, enact rage seizures, seek to harm others and be revulsed by a crucifix.
@Sargon_of_Akkad I still remember that time when they tried to disrupt one of your speaking events and you claimed one of their standards like it was a game of Bannerlord.
@KonstantinKisin This happened before in the 60s and 70s with groups like the Weather Underground or Baader Meinhof gang. Looks like history might repeat itself in some ways.
@jonkay The political left is just a giant grotesquery nowadays in so many ways. I believe it was a far left activist who put it "no bad tactics, only bad targets"
