IDEAS, NOT IDENTITIES
If you want to be a leader, you must get acquainted with giving the benefit of the doubt. How do you approach leading or collaborating with people whose views differ from yours? #highroadleadership#johnmaxwell#personalgrowth
History has a grim lesson : “Violence of any type begets more violence and serves as an excuse to the side affected to enact revenge.”
So it is vitally important for people who believe in democracy and the rule of law to condemn this act of violence loudly and unequivocally.
To all the fathers who have failed, who live with regret because of mistakes you’ve made with your kids...God loves and forgives you. His Fatherly love toward you does not depend on your success as a dad. He loves fathers who fail because there aren’t any other kinds of fathers.
🚨 Oakland Star Guard Jack Gohlke was a 0-Star Recruit with no Division 1 Offers Coming out of High School...
He played at Division 2 Hillsdale College for 5 seasons, doing Uber & Doordash on the side. He entered the Transfer Portal before this season, but received only one D1 offer - Oakland 💪
He took the offer, and in his first season at the D1 Level, led Oakland to a Horizon League Championship & NCAA Tournament...
And today vs Kentucky, he hit 10 3-Pointers en route to a MASSIVE upset. The record for most made 3's in a Tournament Game is 11, he was just one short 👀
Gohlke is officially cemented as a March Madness LEGEND after this performance 🌟
There are times in our lives as Christians when we may not understand what God is doing. Why did He allow this thing to happen? Why did He allow those problems? Why did He allow that tragedy? And why hasn’t He intervened?
It is hard to know why sometimes. But Jesus is saying, “I’m in control. I know what I’m doing.”
We may not get all of the answers we want to our “why” questions. But we can ask God to help us catch glimpses of His faithfulness in the midst of our pain and confusion.
We can hear His whispers of, "No matter what, I've got this. I've got you. And I'll hold on to you forever."
God is working things out. He’s not far away. He is right here with us.
We need to cling to this hope. Believe this hope. Live out this hope.
Even if our prayers aren’t answered in the way and timing we want.
Even when this process feels messy. We will trust that God is good.
While you wait on God's answer to that hard situation you're facing, don't lose confidence in His goodness. Be strong. Be patient. Cling to His Word. And keep trusting in His unfailing love. He has a good plan for you, friend. He really, really does.
If today finds you weeping, hurting, needing time to wrestle with grief & loss… it’s okay. You don’t have to try to quickly sweep up the shattered pieces of your heart.
Jesus understands what it’s like to deeply feel human emotions like grief & heartache. Let Him comfort you.
God is faithful even in the midst of disappointment.
No matter what we feel is being taken from us right now, we can place it in the hands of God. Give it to Him as our sacrifice. For whatever we willingly place in the hands of God, He will redeem.
