My dad gave me a piece of advice that has served me well: never make a comment about, or a play on someone's name. You will never impress them. You will only sink in their esteem.
I met an old guy named John Lennon once, shook his hand and said "good to meet you Mr. Lennon." You could see the respect and joy at not hearing yet another damned comment about his name.
Thanks dad.
Like basically I get the sense that Lynch's essential worldview was "Look at all this violence against women, isn't it horrible that people get off to it?" and Tarantino in response tucks his dick away guiltily and says "YEAH"
Tarantino is unfortunately one of those guys like Polanski who I get the sense doesn't really respect women that much but who has still made really good movies about us in a way few woke feminist men could. David Lynch's Wario, in a sense
Im not a fucking dog and neither are you. And no you cannot train yourself out of executive dysfunction. You are genuinely not adhd. As what im describing is literally a DIAGNOSTIC CRITERIA FOR THE DISORDER
I think it's very funny to think people w/ ADHD are simply unaware that they'll be disliked bc of their symptoms. We get fired, dumped, suspended, expelled for our symptoms, and you think we're unaware we also lose friendships over it?
Zohran Mamdani just might be the best politician in America. He has single-handedly delivered on more campaign promises in six months than some politicians have in six election cycles.
