📽️ | One More Chance: Michael Jackson's Final Music Video
Filmed in 2003 at CMX Studios in Las Vegas, Nevada, the music video for One More Chance was not officially released until 2010. The production presents Michael Jackson from a different perspective than usual: while the audience occupies the stage, he dances among tables and chairs, a symbolic way of placing his fans in a position of prominence, prestige, and appreciation.
Although MTV aired a video featuring highlights from the filming sessions, the official version of the music video was released only by Sony in 2010, making it the final music video to feature the King of Pop.
Directed by Nick Brandt, the project's production was interrupted due to searches conducted at Neverland Ranch by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office in connection with the allegations made against Michael Jackson in 2003. These events ultimately led to his trial and subsequent acquittal in 2005.
The song, written by R. Kelly, is believed to have been one of the last tracks recorded by Michael Jackson, with We've Had Enough generally considered the final song recorded and officially released on an album or compilation before his death. The track was included on the compilation album Number Ones, released in November 2003, and was later featured on the Australian, French, and Indonesian editions of King of Pop, as well as the Japanese edition of The Ultimate Collection, released in 2004.
then the rest of the piece is just being condescending abt his love for mannequins & ferris wheels followed by questions abt his face & #that fabricated storyline . this was the BEST you could do martin bashir ? as a man who considers himself a serious journalist ? really ?
It’s definitely hard but I will say it has been so beautiful these past few months watching people come together sing, dance, and rejoice over Michael’s music and his legacy. This is exactly what he wanted and why he did what he did I know he’s smiling down from Heaven
