@WLDdefense Iโm OK with solar arrays on grazing pastures - as long as all are on previously disturbed land.
The focus for resistance against solar should be aimed at projects that disturb undisturbed rangeland.
A little piece of knowledge that touched me years ago when I first heard about it: In Japan, people who arrive early to work park further away from the entrance so that those who arrive later can arrive on time.
Our world needs more of this lived compassion. Much, much more.
@LDS_Dems I'd have been more enthusiastically supportive of Fetterman than Harris, for sure. He's a good example of the "not afraid to call bullshit" Democrat that is needed to win back middle America. But we need someone with his clarity & courage that is fully healthy...
@ryanmouquegolf 2 reasons for me.
First, at my home course, I'll play the tips twice a year to challenge my game in a way that the typical tee boxes might be obscuring. Second, I'll tee it up as far back as possible a couple times a year (when the course is slow) just to test my limits.
@bitterwaterblue If the US would focus on solar installation on new or existing buildings, we could see a net reduction in electrical transmission infrastructure.
Stop installing solar on remote plots of undisturbed land!!!
@DustiSwgel@Osint613@premium@X As I said, Iโm still following a few people I like because they havenโt yet migrated to Bluesky.
But I only come here for content from the handful of people I follow & donโt bother to watch the wider Twitter space.
This is my last Tweet. Iโve been on BlueSky for just 1 day so far, see many of my favorite people there, and like the feel of it much better than Twitter.
And giving Musk the finger is a nice bonus.
@wpetty19@LDS_Dems When done properly, access to free contraceptives works extraordinarily well (especially if there are options other than just condoms.) Do you have studies that show something different?
@wpetty19@LDS_Dems I thought you were concerned about a financial impositionโฆ.
If, instead, you are seriously focused on preventing death by abortion, free and simple access to birth control will go a LONG way toward meeting your moral objective.
@kirkmckee13@LDS_Dems โWe need to follow the fine example of Catholic priests.โ Didnโt expect anyone to pick THAT hill to die on!
Iโm unconvinced that the pursuit of perfect moral compliance will cool off our libidos. We need a safety net in case moral โcontrolsโ fail - and they do.
@NateForUtah In this case, "hardball" might take the form of POTUS using his enormous powers of immunity & publishing incriminating reports that will otherwise be suppressed by the incoming administration. He's still got 60 days to take bold action!!
@kirkmckee13@LDS_Dems I actually suggested reversible, not irreversible & did so to highlight how silly this idea would be.
Reversible sterilization is an effective, but dumb idea that would meet your goal of preventing fertilized eggs.
An even less effective method is relying on guilt & abstinence.
@PaleoLaura Beautiful view and installing large solar arrays won't improve what you've captured here! America should keep undisturbed lands free of solar projects and place the panels on top of buildings & over parking lots instead.
