Earlier today we found that mining could be exploited with free transistors, so we moved everything to a new contract that only rewards real miners. It was the right call, but the switch was rough. Rigs had to be moved, payouts paused, and the whole situation turned bearish for a while.

The chart and the network have recovered since. 1,262 rigs are mining and the network score is at 15.8B. Even so, it wouldn't feel right to move on without giving back to the miners who stuck with us through the back and forth.

So we've added 1.1M $WAFER to the mining pool. It pays 5,952 $WAFER to every rig, split by score, every hour for the next week, on top of the normal buybacks. The first payout has already gone out.
