This morning, I was honoured to be joined by Premier @ABDanielleSmith to announce that Alberta’s government is launching the New North America Initiative, through a $6.5 million investment.
The initiative, led by the @UCalgary@policy_school, will be one of the only dedicated academic institutes in North America focused on Canada-US relations. It will also fill an important gap, providing a homegrown Western Canadian perspective in an academic landscape filled with American and Eastern Canadian research.
I couldn’t have asked for a more impactful final announcement as Minister of Advanced Education, and I look forward to seeing the results of this initiative. For more details, visit: https://t.co/F49HIpkN2p

Strolling through Victoria Park on a sunny winter Sunday. Grateful for days like this in Edmonton’s winter - all I ask is for one out of seven days to shine like today! #YEGwinter
@lexfridman@ZelenskyyUa Listening to Zelenskyy's interview with Lex, I noticed the joy in his voice when he mentioned a ceasefire agreement with Russia is expected in January 2025. He even noted that January is his birthday month. Thank God the war may finally end, and soldiers can return home!
