@CDReisswriter@courtneymilan They talk about her a lot on the Facebook group "Book Drama, Anyone"
They refer to everyone by nicknames like a secret code, hers is "BD" for "Beautiful Disaster"
@courtneymilan The author community is a real shitshow. Last year it was Samantha A. Cole bullying an author to literal suicide, and now we have to deal with this.
If #BrianLaundrie is really smart, he will come out of hiding, go on television, and publicly confess to killing her... in the Idaho portion of Yellowstone National Park and then moving her body to where it was found. They would be unable to try him: https://t.co/sPVaMZBmCz
@sashinka14@BrianEntin Nobody can be compelled to talk to police or answer questions. They can be forced to testify in court, but not to answer questions in an interrogation room.
@aidynosmom2005@MrsGinaC @MaddieCasteele @BrianEntin ...but not at the level which would warrant going to jail for life.
And again, this Laundrie is under no obligation to prove that's all that happened. It's the burden of the state to prove that it didn't happen like that.
@aidynosmom2005@MrsGinaC @MaddieCasteele @BrianEntin I go back to the fact that... well, we don't have the facts yet. (Cause of death)
There are lots of scenarios where he caused her death, but it's not 1st degree murder. What if it was accidental or it's a closer fit for manslaughter? Plus leaving her there would be a crime...
@aidynosmom2005@MrsGinaC @MaddieCasteele @BrianEntin If it were my kid, and he began confessing something, I would probably say "stop right there. Stop talking" and arrange for him to talk to an attorney... emphasizing that he speak to absolutely nobody but that attorney.
@MrsGinaC @MaddieCasteele @aidynosmom2005@BrianEntin Prison is full of people who made the mistake of agreeing to talk to the police because they "had nothing to hide."
@BrianEntin This depends upon who the copyright owner of the picture is. If Laundrie or a member of his family took the picture, they have say over how it's posted.
@shannonrwatts I don't think cops should handle DV calls unless it's an active situation. If they personally witness one party striking the other, then arrest. Anything else is he said/she said. And the horseshit about "we should by default believe one party because they have a vagina" is BS.
@JWashington09 @tradeslongshort @AlliecatLady1 @sxintjoseph What I'm saying... even if I kill somebody, I'm not going to just roll over and confess. If they're going to send me to jail, effectively ending my life as I know it, they're going to work their asses off to prove their case. And it's not my job to HELP them do it.
@TheDianaG@MairScott3@shaTIRED Where's the proof that he committed murder?
And which degree of murder? First? Second? What if it was accidental, maybe manslaughter?
Very difficult to say beyond a reasonable doubt if there were no witnesses.
