@HMRCcustomers Hi, I only got my child benefit at £104.2 each month. As my salary is more than the threshold, I got the CHB deduction of £2281 in my tax code. Is that correct? Or I was charged more than I get? Many thanks
@HMRCcustomers I found the message from my online account says, ‘You paid too little tax. You need to pay by 31 January 2026.’ It is too much to pay in one go and I would like pay over the next year from salary or tax code. I can not find this kind of option.
@HMRCcustomers By the way, if I can not pay the tax, how could I setup a monthly payment plan over next couple of months? Or How will HMRC set it up for me?
@twid4805@HMRCcustomers thanks. It is less than £3k and less than my monthly salary. I would like to pay with a modified tax over next year but there is no option to do so:)
@HMRCcustomers I would like to collect the underpaid tax through tax code during next year. But I didn’t find this option in my HMRC online account while the message asked me to pay the tax before the end of Jan 2026. How could pay it through my tax code? My salary is higher than the amount tax
@HMRCcustomers Hi, No. I got the message from online HMRC account which tell me that I paid too little tax and need to pay. I want HMRC to collect them by my tax code. I choose the option ‘to be collected from my income’. How could I get the P800 anyway and how could I pay through tax code? XXX
@HMRCcustomers She doesn't have a new employer as she just gave up one of her two jobs. Her current employer asked her to contact HMRC. She just updated the estimated pay online to trigger the recalculation. When can she get the new tax code rather than current S0T?
@HMRCcustomers Hi, my wife has two part-time jobs. Now she left one which used her tax allowance. How can she
move her allowance to her current only job quickly? She got her P45 already.
