It appears Iran does not see Pakistan’s ruler Asim Munir as a true mediator and is considering alternatives.

This doesn’t necessarily mean though Iran won’t settle on Islamabad. Asim Munir needs this mediation to avoid being bullied into war by his Gulf allies and Washington.
