@MoCA_GoI Thank you for your response. My concern is communication gaps, not just policy.
Why no no-show alert when the app showed confirmed status and emails continued? Why was fare info not provided due to a system issue?
Not seeking a refund, only clarity and accountability.
@DGCAIndia
@airindia On 12 June 2026, after arriving in Delhi from Muscat, I faced a genuine family emergency. Before my connecting flight departed, I clearly informed Air India staff that I would not be travelling.
@airindia Are @MoCA_GoI and @DGCAIndia aware of Air India’s policy that if passenger cannot complete a journey or leaves midway due to any reason,even after informing the airline team at the airport,but can’t contact Cust Care in time,return ticket may be treated as a no-show nd cancelled?
@airindia I understand @airindia’s position. I don’t need a refund, just one clear answer.
Is this entirely the customer’s fault, with no responsibility on Air India’s part? I’ve asked repeatedly, but the question is still being ignored.
@airindia After weeks of waiting, @airindia closed my case with the same generic reply and still didn’t answer my questions
Is Air India officially stating this was entirely the customer’s fault and the airline bears no responsibility for the delays or the way my case was handled?
@airindia After waiting for over a week, @airindia’s latest mail asks me to wait another 4-5 days, even though my planned travel is tomorrow.What am I supposed to do now? Postpone my travel again? If I am forced to book a new ticket because of this delay,who will take responsibility ?
@airindia@airindia Feels like another standard reply.1 team asks me to wait,while another only cites policy.I need a solution,not repeated assurances.Pls reactivate my return ticket or offer a discounted new ticket as a goodwill gesture@MoCA_GoI Seeking ur kind intervention in this matter
@airindia After weeks of follow-ups, Air India has another email stating that I did not contact them before deciding not to travel and has asked me to accept a refund.This is not acceptable. I informed Air India staff at Delhi Airport before my connecting flight departed .
@airindia@airindia@MoCA_GoI@DGCAIndia Time is critical. I travel tomorrow and still have no final decision.Despite informing in advance and following up for the past 10 days, I have received conflicting info about my ticket. Cust Care says one thing, while your X team asks me to wait.
@airindia I request the reviewing team to clarify which information is correct and provide a final decision on my case. If Air India is unable to resolve this matter, the least it can do is acknowledge the misinformation and issue a public apology for the confusion and inconvenience caused
@airindia Thanx for the update.However,reply I recvd from Cust Care just 10 mins which is quite shocking. I was informed that my return ticket can no longer be reissue/reactivated because it is only permitted within 48hrs of the missed flight.This is the fst time this has been communicated
@airindia On 14 July, I received an email stating that the ticket could be reissued subject to applicable charges. I immediately called Customer Care, but I was told they were unable to retrieve the fare details and would call me back. I never received that call.
@veo_google74207@airindia No, my luggage wasn’t missing. I informed Air India before my connecting flight that I couldn’t travel due to a family emergency. Despite that, my return ticket was cancelled, and no one could tell me how to reactivate it or the charges involved.
@airindia After several days, I finally received a reply from @AirIndia. This is exactly the kind of policy response I was expecting, but not the solution I had hoped for.
@airindia@airindia I had informed ur staff before the connect flight departed that,due to a genuine family emergency,I would not be travelling.Despite explaining this repeatedly,I continue to receive template replies instead of a proper review.pls review my case based on the actual facts
@airindia@airindia same generic response has now been repeated, including over a phone call. Your team continues to classify this as a “missed flight,” which is incorrect. This is not addressing the actual facts of my case.
@airindia Still no update from @AirIndia. I travel the day after tomorrow and have received no email, no call, and no decision. I still don’t know if I’ll be able to travel.
A last-mint decision will only leave the customer with no choice but to book another ticket at a much higher fare.
@MoCA_GoI Thank you for your response. I have shared the requested details via direct message. I respectfully request your kind support for an early resolution.
@airindia When I requested my baggage back, Air India staff were unable to locate it. I waited at Delhi Airport for nearly 6 hours while they tried to retrieve it. Eventually, I was informed that my baggage had already departed.
