When people ask me what I think about Kanye, what they usually want is for me to perform the correct ritual of cancellation. But I think it’s mostly a theatre for people who want the pleasure of judgment without the burden of transformation.”

Bully is a hit.
After the last relapse, after the nitrous, I feared we lost the version of Kanye we truly loved forever. This album confirms that’s not at all the case.
Yeah it’s got the usual Kanye deficits. Some unfinished corners, some songs unnecessarily short. But it’s filled with absolutely stunning production that only this motherfucker is capable of. It’s cohesive. It’s a return to the past while pushing forward. This makes me hopeful. He’s still got it. Not just that, but he’s trying again. This motherfucker is pushing 50 and he’s making some of the best hip hop in the industry still. Do you hear how crazy that is? He’s still fucking got it. I cannot believe it. Never give up on your idols.
@sibaburck Surely if you believe animal exploitation is wrong, but you feel like you have no choice, you’d still very much promote veganism and animal rights?? You wouldn’t post animal flesh on your page, nicely put together on a plate???
@sibaburck My take on this is always: if they were ever truly vegan for the animals, and they actually absolutely had to start eating animal products again (which I don’t believe, but let’s say they do), why on earth would they start promoting animal abuse by posting their food?
