Funny how a simple song can take you back to your childhood and simpler times of joy. live version

What’s terrifying about this clip isn’t their ideals…these sweet gals’ hearts are certainly in the right place. What’s terrifying is they have the civic, political, and economic literacy of a 9 year old. When a charlatan like Abdul comes along with the Jr High class president schtick of “no more homework and the vending machines are all free!”, they fall for it.
I don’t know how you get to that age with ZERO understanding of supply chains, manufacturing, labor costs…but a lot of folks think that medicine and MRIs and hospitals just materialize out of thin air like unicorn farts. They’ve never built anything in their lives, so they have no concept of how things function…things are just…there. They think milk comes from the store. They think rich people don’t pay taxes, even though the top 1% fund 40% of government with their taxes already, and yet 40% of all Americans contribute ZERO federal income tax at all. These people don’t understand that you could tax the wealthy at 100% and it would only fund the government for 120 days. Then you’re screwed.
Too many Americans simply have zero understanding of how anything works, and even though they’re living in the easiest times in human history, they think things are “terrible out there”. These commie scammers roll through and promise them things that sound great, but aren’t possible in reality, and have devastating consequences if tried…but because they don’t know anything, they fall for it. Sadly, so many of our politicians and their advisors are such atrocious communicators, there’s like zero countervailing narrative to push back on the commie gobbledygook, so we are gonna have to learn the hard way. Guys…we just had a sample of socialism: Covid. We all got universal basic income, and it ended up tripling our costs and they’ll never go down. Ever. That one brief little experiment in command and control government will haunt us the rest of our lives. Bleak stuff, man.
Tight campsite? Awkward angle? Maneuver and park the PG5 remotely—no tow vehicle required. Then auto-level at the touch of a button.

Does anybody else feel like life never really went back to normal after 2020?
And I’m not talking about masks, lockdowns, or any of the political debates. I mean the feeling of life itself.
Everything technically returned to "normal." The stores reopened. The roads got busy again. People went back to work. Life kept moving.
But something still feels different.
The years seem to pass faster than ever. Friendships feel more distant. Conversations feel shorter. People seem more distracted, more exhausted, and less present.
It’s hard to explain because nothing obvious is missing.
Yet somehow it feels like we lost something important along the way.
Life used to feel slower. More connected. More genuine. There was a sense of optimism, excitement, and possibility that’s difficult to describe now.
Maybe we're all just getting older.
Or maybe 2020 changed people in ways we're still trying to understand.
I can't put my finger on exactly what was lost.
I just know that life used to feel a lot more alive than it does today.
@DrSuneelDhand I’m at bedside (as an RN) watching my brother die from cirrhosis/end-stage liver failure right now. And, I work in substance abuse rehab…it always starts with that first “one drink”. Respectfully, poison is poison, sir.
President Trump's Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles, didn't get the best possible Cancer care at Mayo Clinic...
"Because chemotherapy is, in a word, a b----."
"Chemotherapy tested me in ways I could never have anticipated"
A competent Oncologist would have added Ivermectin and Mebendazole to Susie Wiles' regimen to reduce (even eliminate) chemo side effects.
Mayo Clinic still operates in the stone age...🪨
Your death will come on an ordinary day, in the middle of unfinished plans, and the world will continue without you. So enjoy the ordinary moments. Drop the bitterness. Let go of what you can’t control. Love yourself while you’re still here. Stop postponing joy for some perfect future. One day, something will happen for the last time and you won’t know it. Be present. Life is happening now.
People walking around with $2,000 foldable iPhones, $800 shoes, and a $14 pumpkin spice latte…
Then saying they can’t or won’t vote for Trump because of gas prices.
Yeah, OK…
Soon, LA will just be a ghost town with a 100K illegal street vendors cooking rat meat in front of abandoned brick and mortar restaurants. The Jay Luchs window signs fading in the sun, soon to be kindling for a zombie meth cook fire that burns down half the block as Nithya rides her bike down the new $200M bike lane.
A former Apple Store employee spent 4 years watching customers unbox AirPods Pro.
Every single one did the same thing: opened the lid, tapped Connect, put them in their ears, and started playing music. Setup complete. Never opened settings again.
She told me: "I watched 10,000 people put AirPods in their ears for the first time. Not one of them ran the fit test. Not one scanned their ears for spatial audio. Not one switched off the default noise mode. Not one customized the controls. Not one turned on battery optimization."
"They spent $250 on the most advanced earbuds ever engineered — and within 60 seconds, they were listening to music through a generic audio profile, wearing the wrong-sized ear tips, using 2 out of 12 available controls, and slowly destroying the battery."
"The AirPods you just unboxed and the AirPods you should be wearing are two completely different products. The difference is 10 settings that take 12 minutes. Nobody does them. Apple doesn't walk you through them. The setup screen says 'Connect' — and you think you're done."
"You're not done. You haven't started."
Here are the 10 things she configured on every customer's AirPods before she let them leave the store — in the exact order that matters:🧵
Today’s release of the 2026 $1 coin is a proud moment as we celebrate America’s 250th Birthday and @POTUS.
It was a privilege to help bring this idea to life. Thank you @USMINT Chief Engraver Joseph Menna and @WhiteHouse Chief Photographer @dto_rok for their tremendous work.
