Mini-Kits design and manufacture a range of quality performance Radio related construction Kits and built products for Engineers, Experimenters, and Ham Radio.
New developments Kits for the Adalm-PLUTO. The PLUTO-CHARON prototype shown here is a 23cm band module that produces up to +36dBm output, and also has a low noise receive pre-amplifier onboard, and antenna relay switching.
A WiFi switch Kit using the Ai Thinker ESP-01S module, has been developed by Mini-Kits to enable switching of up to 4x +12vdc outputs using onboard MosFETs. Kits will be available soon.
@Zathras_42@vk5qi You still need an external GPS unit with either solution so not sure why a small separate box is an issue. As mentioned the box can be disconnected or powered off and the Radio functions as factory. Also one box can be used with a distribution amps to lock multiple IC-9700's
@m1geo@uhf_satcom@vk5qi There are differences in the solutions,. Our solution can be used without GPS locking and is much more stable on its own due to a high stability TCXO, also the box can be disconnected from the Radio or powered off and the Radio functions as from the factory.
@dh2va@uhf_satcom Phase noise plots are available on the products website. Its as good if not better than the standard oscillator in the IC-9700. Mode locking may also reduce the close in phase noise as noted in whitepapers on injection locking. https://t.co/GMEu5BwEYR
Here is a sneak peak of the New Mini-Kits GPS9700 Prototype that was designed to lock the new Icom IC-9700 to an external 10MHz GPS reference. Some of you would have already seen this on our Facebook page. The product should be available in July 19
This ham in Portugal https://t.co/7PERjdMbUI has copied our Transverter products https://t.co/6qpXVt5w9X are they not identical to https://t.co/gTQTOENJXK This disappoints me as a great deal of work is required to design new products
@M0YDH@G8GTZ@M0NWK@G7Jtt@BATCOnline Hi David, the Mini-Kits FM ATV TX are wideband FM where as the Comtech are narrow band FM ATV with tight filtering but still work. I never saw high quality pictures out of the Comtech RX even after modifying the circuits but they have greater range being narrowband
