@arojinle1 I can relate to this;
I once taught 2 children in Apo Legislative Quarters, just as you, I eat lunch there because they always give me food (sometimes my food will be served before I arrive). 3 months later this woman only paid for 1 month and didn’t even pay fully.
This is the opening ceremony of the 2022 World Cup.
This was the World Cup everyone claimed Qatar couldn't pull off, but they ended up hosting arguably the best, most organised World Cup in recent memory.
The Quran recitation and the calm atmosphere gave it a unique feel never seen before.
Now, we wait to see what the upcoming tournament in North America will bring.
The bar has been set incredibly high, and it is going to take a lot more than the usual American corporate and media hype to match this level of soul and standard.
I chatted with my younger Brother this afternoon, my Mum's last child and I was complaining bitterly about something and a particular regret I had , He kept reminding me of How far we have come and how much I take on. Sister you are doing a lot, a whole lot, He prayed for me and I have to admit, I cried. "Your children will acknowledge and appreciate your sacrifices. They will be good to you" they will turn out well" sometimes you don't realise how much you need to hear some things and I feel compelled to write to you again this evening
If you come from where some of us came from, then you know life does not hand out certificates for surviving.
It expects results, nobody sees the work, you are only acknowledged when the results begin to show , positive result that is .
Many people see the house, the confidence, the smile, the qualifications, the businesses and the platform.
They do not see the tears, lots of it behind closed doors
They do not see the days when I sat alone wondering how I would feed three children.
They do not see the years after divorce when anxiety sat beside me like an unwanted visitor.
They do not see the jobs I worked, the opportunities I created for myself, the courses I paid for when money was tight, or the nights I cried and still woke up to carry on.
If you are with me on this journey of growth, hear this loud and very clear,
Your background is not a life sentence,
It is simply your starting point.
Do not spend your energy comparing your Chapter 2 to somebody else's Chapter 20.
We all have a beginning and some have advantages that have excluded us , so, Run your race.
Learn new skills,
Read books, again Read books, in fact listen to books, lots are free on YouTube
Develop your mind, so crucially, you need to build confidence and resilience
Guard your reputation, integrity matters a lot. Don't lose it in the pursuit of more
Keep your word, Hnmmm and don't do more than yourself. People will move on so quickly once you fall behind
Be somebody people can trust.
The world is full of talented people who never developed discipline.
Discipline will take you further than talent.
And when life becomes heavy,
pray.see that prayers, I can never joke with it. I pray like a lunatic at times, I ask God for anything and everything o. In fact I ask Him if He has forgotten me at times.
Not because prayer replaces effort.
But because prayer gives hope strength for the effort.
When I am stressed, I pray more.
When I am confused, I pray more.
When doors seem shut, I pray more.
I ask Allah for guidance, favour, wisdom and strength to keep moving.
Then I get up and do the work.
Never allow temporary hardship to convince you that your future is small. Walahi it's not but learn contentment and be grateful as you grow
Some of us were born with very little.
Yet by the mercy of Allah and consistent effort, we are building lives we once only imagined.
Keep going, keep building, keep working hard, stay focused, and Never STOP praying
Your story is still being written.
May Allah bless our efforts, increase us in wisdom, protect us from distractions and grant us success that brings peace, purpose and barakah. 🤲🤲🤲

WHAT AN IMPOSSIBLE ENGINEERING!
As Saudi Arabia announces the successful completion of the 2026 Hajj season, with more than 1.7 million pilgrims performing the sacred pilgrimage, it is worth appreciating the remarkable planning, logistics, and engineering that make this spiritual gathering possible year after year.
In this video, my good friend @sai7org takes us on a fascinating tour, explaining some of the incredible infrastructure behind Hajj operations. Particularly interesting is how the enormous amount of water used across the Mashaer, that is, in Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah, is transported from desalination plants connected to the sea and distributed efficiently to serve millions of pilgrims, despite the challenging desert environment.
From water systems and transportation networks to crowd management and public services, the Hajj remains one of the greatest logistical operations on earth and an example of what human ingenuity can achieve in the service of faith.
Malcolm X wrote a letter from Mecca during his Hajj pilgrimage in 1964. His experience changed the way he viewed the struggle for racial equality in the US.
