Yah, ridiculous. Freelancers are still part of the team. We understand that there are state regulations but I’m sure no freelancer would mind a billable 30mins of orientation that will set that person up for success. We advocate for a detailed document with the option of a meeting.

Spot on Andy! Having a contract sets expectations, protects you, & makes you look more professional.
We believe that these 2 items should be part of every client agreement
- Statement of Work, which outlines the proposal & work to be done
- Terms of Agreement, which lays out the legal terms & provisions
