@starkcoffee Women are able to offer different perspectives and alternatives; this helps make the team environment environment less authoritative and more cooperative.
@starkcoffee We need more women in our work because women provide a different set of skills, imaginative perspectives, and, importantly, structural and cultural differences that drive effective solutions.
As technologists we need to actively take responsibility for the impacts and the unintended consequences of our work. We created the #ResponsibleTech playbook of third party tools to guide leaders and teams towards better technology decisions: https://t.co/atmS6RLJAr
Agile Software Development isn't a tool you can buy, nor learn in a 2 day (or 2 week) training course. It requires thoughtful investment in skills and culture, detailed here by @jamesshore in a free chapter of his book

I DO NOT BUILD FEATURES! Never. Features are big nebulous things, impossible to pin down, involving vast amounts of work. Instead, I realize very specific very small stories (that describe an end user doing a domain-level task with no choices involved). Then I do the next one.
A "servant leader" who's persuading is probably not one. They're trying to impose their ideas onto the team. That is not leadership. It's coercion in velvet gloves. Also, it's impossible for someone in a "leadership" position to "persuade" w/o that being taken as a directive.
Cops use "male" and "female" instead of "man" or "woman" (or "person") because it's dehumanizing. It lets them think of people as animals, not people. In business, the word "resources" serves the same purpose.
