@rozavysialuna@Rambleh20@xydavr But no, violence and revenge are always reserved for men, while women are only expected to be compassionate and self-sacrificing.
@rozavysialuna@Rambleh20@xydavr My biggest question in the series was: why should Esme even be worried about Adil becoming a killer? She’s the one who spent 20 years crying over a grave and 20 years in captivity. If anyone had a right to take revenge, it was Esme.
@rozavysialuna@Rambleh20@xydavr Worst part is, when she confronted Adil about leaving her alone in the hospital or not even hugging her, he still yelled at her and said nonsense words. Even then, he never admitted he was wrong, and all he cared about was his wedding.
@Rambleh20@xydavr Exactly. And the Esme we saw in the early episodes wasn’t someone who would stay silent in the face of all this erasure, was she? Why do female writers give the audience this feeling that if a woman is hiding a secret, then she deserves to be insulted and made to pay the price.
Adil doesn’t deserve her ep 17,18 and 28 proved that he always prioritized eleni and Elenis (fake)mum over her even when eleni was simply a stranger to him and I’ll always be mad at that
Not you saying that Esme constantly throws tantrums when Adil chronically weaponizes his words against her whenever he throws his OWN tantrums. And knowing all this you still want Emse to step over her self-respect and chase him? Bye 😀 as if Adil hates being walked like a dog
I’ve always been mad at Adil for not hating Hicran enough, even before this crappy scene. She’s the reason he went to jail and why Esme was kept in captivity for 20 years. She even could've caused Esme’s death.
I just want to slap him in the face for that annoying smile.
@xydavr The day before the wedding, Eleni told her, ‘I just want you to be happy tomorrow.’ She then became part of the revenge plan.
Esme had told Adil not to do anything against Oruç, but he chose to do so on their wedding day.
Like father, like daughter.
Are u choosing to ignore episodes 17,18,19? Episode 28? The final episode where esmes wedding day was used a revenge ploy and her trauma was broadcasted for everyone without any warning, another plan that she wasnt involved in?? 😭
@Rambleh20@xydavr Finally, someone said what was on my mind. He sent her to Furuna in the morning, and then he's mad at her because of his sister's marriage. How reasonable!
And the worst part is that no one told him how much his behaviour was bad and nonsense. He never apologised.
Hate seeing this scene anywhere but lately my tl is making it so hard to gaslight myself into liking Adil again. Ortiler making him spew pure poison at Esme & then genuinely believing they're portraying the most noble lover ever is a case study in internalised misogyny & delusion
mind you esme spends half the show understanding adil and everyone around her while nobody extends the same grace to her and let's not rewrite history adil was constantly getting angry at her for keeping secrets, questioning her choices and bringing it up every chance he got he wasn't silently nodding along to everything she said.
