People talk about RM’s leadership like it’s his greatest achievement. Meanwhile, he was writing a huge portion of BTS’s discography, shaping the group’s identity, teaching himself English, reading relentlessly, constantly pushing himself to grow, and eventually creating work worthy of being displayed in a national museum.
HE DIDN’T BECOME A GREAT ARTIST BECAUSE HE WAS A GREAT LEADER.
HE BECAME A GREAT LEADER WHILE BEING ONE OF THE MOST EXTRAORDINARY ARTISTS OF HIS GENERATION.
Sometimes I think people don’t realize the scale of what Kim Namjoon has actually accomplished.
If haters are burning this much just cause Namjoon is existing i wonder what will happen when he actually starts promoting his solo works doing shows/stages. Had the most low-key solo era & now touring with group itself has them foaming at the mouth they’ll want him to disappear
It just occurred to me that they are actually seeing the world on their world tour this time instead of going from airport to hotel to stadium ad infinitum and that makes my fucking heart sing
A hard pill to swallow but BTS was appreciated & taken seriously only cause of how Namjoon represented them on every platform adding to him also being a pillar of their musical direction. There’s a reason why no other kpop groups can do it cause they got no RM on their team
European ARMYs! Let's make sure BTS enjoy their time in every city they visit this summer! Keep their locations hidden! Don't try to find out where they are! Don't film them! Don't try to approach them! Don't try to talk to them! Let them explore and get inspired in peace!
bts is so funny bc they have this insane rapline of the 3 coolest people on the entire planet who spit bars and write songs and were the original foundation for the entire team and then vocal line walks in like “but can you kick a ball you unathletic fucks?” and that delights me
It's insane how RM is still underrated and underappreciated in this fandom. I'll never take armys twt hype seriously when it comes to him. 90% of their fandom still don't give a fuck about him or his artistry. Most of them are only loud when they talk about his body/use his words
probs an unpopular and biased opinion but i'm realizing just how much more enjoyable it is for the tannies to be freer and not restricted by full choreo like now they can perform/play around w each other and army to their heart's content and just have FUN it's so beautiful to see
concert over so im back online and i’m seeing a ton of discourse about choreographies on the tl but i remember everyone crying and screaming mistreatment during love yourself when they were getting oxygen masks, pain relief, and passing out backstage, so which is it?
@JKJMFAN Man people be attacking you 🤣. I was quite surprised too tbh before they often did a solo (short) or subunits so there were some vocal line only songs and rapline. But i guess bc of the "hiatus" they didnt wanna do that anymore?
i hope this documentary finally makes some realize that no you do not know these guys better than how they know each other. you don’t know seokjin better than taehyung does, you don’t know any of them. these guys have spent half a life together stop acting like you know better
"their songs used to have meaning" arirang made us work a little harder to find meaning in the samples, wordplays, link bw "what is your love song" & obscure promo, layers of the vocals, production, arrangement, the history, no.29. like sorry! reading art might not be your thing?
arirang is such a perfect evolution of bts that if u dislike the album i fear youve just exposed yourself for not knowing what the fuck bts are about at all
