@najvy251@EU_Eurostat The UK decided to pull out of Eurostat. Switzerland has a myriad of treaties with the EU so I am sure it contributes. Eurostat is a great source of info.
Likewise why UK has difficulty tracking some criminals now across EU. It can pay for access.
@t20696678@sporkfriendly If this is Eurostat data as marked it is old. Eurostat does data for the European Union countries...Please tell me the year of the data for comparison
@FPL_AlexS@marty_meenan@MartinSLewis Interesting when was there a time when people thought the state would totally look after them in old age with state pension and housing etc? I left school in the 80s and it certainly wasn't around in the Thatcher years but maybe it was totally a thing before that ???
@veebee2011@MartinSLewis You appear to have UK pension well below the current 11953 pounds. Also Spanish state pension will now have 37 years to get full pension.(Uk is 35) Also they calculate it differently and it depends on your pay so it can be less than UK pension.
@RedRangerIsBack@carl_stein_@MartinSLewis Im 55+ and cannot see the present situation as sustainable and don't feel it should go up higher than inflation. Other countries may have higher state pensions but also contribute as much as 43 years . Also I am hoping the fact that people are auto enrolled with work will help.
