🐶 : every weekend, i’d take 500 pesos to a shopping mall called ATC, like a festival mall. because i was a kid then, i didn’t have much money. if i didn't buy toys, it was enough, but I loved toys, so i always went to the shopping mall, sometimes to burger joints, or to places that sell shumai

🐶 : i especially loved shumai when i was little. i’d put something like chili oil on top, a chili and garlic sauce with chili peppers, and then pour soy sauce over it. and i’ve always liked sour flavors, so i’d squeeze lemon on top too. we always start our trip like this (him and his bsf)

🐶 : well… on weekends, we always meet up and eat shumai (steamed dumplings). there’s a toy store right next door. we’ll go in, and i’m not kidding, we can spend two hours there. ‘wow, they released a new lego!’ ‘wow, so cool!’ ‘do you want to buy this?’ ‘of course, but it's too expensive’ ‘yeah, we need to save up for months’ that’s how we talk.

🐶 : sometimes i really wanted to buy toys. i eben still remember the one that i really wanted, but it was around 470 pesos. my budget was only 500 pesos. if i bought it, i wouldn't be able to eat, drink, or watch a movie all day. but even so, i bought it anyway. but that, i didn't do anything else that day. the toy i bought was a dinosaur egg toy. when you open it, a dinosaur comes out. i just wanted that so much that i abandoned all my other plans for the day and chose the dinosaur.

🐶 : and then... i lived in a village near that shopping mall. it was several kilometers from the main entrance to my house. Iit took about 10 minutes by car because the village was so huge. but we had a lot of time and nothing much to do. since it was a 10-minute walk, we third or fourth graders walked every day. even though we lived there, but it was a bit dangerous for a child. but we liked to chat as we walked, so we just walked back and forth every day
