There once was a widely spread understanding that Aleksi is a very micromanaging IGL. That idea has slowly faded over time. And jLs quote about Aleksi's calling goes against the idea of him micromanaging a lot. So the narrative is dead (in a coffin)
jL about the difference between Aleksib and xertioN :
”Aleksi was giving more freedom to the players on how to do stuff. So for example, Aleksi would say, 'We're going to go A,' and he would expect iM, for example, to say, 'I'm going to smoke CT,' and b1t, 'I'm going to smoke Ruins,' whatever, if it's not a set call. With Dori, it's easy, because he's going to say, 'Okay, you smoke this, you smoke that,' and we kind of have a general understanding of how things are supposed to be.”
@DragonPlayZ05 The CS community used to view Aleksib as a heavily micromanaging IGL
The narrative slowly died down over the years
And now jL is saying that compared to xertioN, Aleksib gave the players a lot of freedom (the opposite of micromanaging)
so the micromanaging narrative is dead
