There have been multiple Captain Americas — Black and white — who’ve carried the shield. And for the most part, a great majority of them (some better than others) have honored the mantle with integrity.
Being Captain America is about standing up for the voiceless, calling out injustice, even when it’s coming from your own government, and doing what’s right — not what’s easy. Steve Rogers understood that better than anyone, especially as someone who came from the 1940s — a time when Black people weren’t even acknowledged as human beings in this country.
So if a large portion of you white men can accept John Walker, Bucky Barnes, or anyone else stepping into the role — but somehow draw the line at Sam Wilson — then yes, that reveals your racism. You’re not defending the mantle, you’re gatekeeping it based on race.
And the truth is, what breaks you the most isn’t the shield — it’s the fact that a Black man is holding it. A Black man is Captain America.
Get used to it. Sam Wilson is just getting started 💪🏾

6 questions for DEI Disney fans:
If everyone thought it was “just time” for the “Human Torch” to be BLACK in the 2005 Fantastic Four movie, why is he WHITE AGAIN?
If FEMALE Black Panther was really the hit you say it was, why haven't you released a sequel or a D+ series?
If BLACK Kang the Conqueror was such a tremendous addition to the MCU, why did you eliminate him IMMEDIATELY after Ant-Man 3 BOMBED?
If BLACK Captain America was a hit, why did all the WHITE ONES make so much more money in today’s dollars?
If BLACK Female Iron Woman is so stunning and brave, why did you delay the release of the show for 2 years?
And if "EVERYONE LOVES AND WANTS MORE BLACK SUPERHEROES," why did you just CANCEL the "BLADE" movie you announced WAY BACK in 2019?
I'll wait.
