Steven Van de Velde, a Dutch volleyball player who raped a 12 yr old girl in 2014, is competing at the Olympics. ❤️SHE MATTERS: ALICE ROSE McSHERA!❤️

This is 34-year-old family law barrister Alice Rose McShera.
On Monday, Alice's body was found at the Crown Towers in Burswood, WA.
A male has been charged with her murder. Alice is the fifth of six women killed in 10 days across the country and the 57th of 58 woman lost to violence in 2023.
After ending Alice's life, he tried to kill himself but survived.
Alice's death shows us one very clear thing - no woman is safe from the violence of certain men.
Alice spent her life trying to help women going through brutal family law and domestic violence experiences, only to have her future snuffed out.
Meanwhile, there's been no word from our political leaders about the ongoing loss of women to violence across the country.
One life is too many - 58 women? Well that's an unforgivable - but entirely preventable - epidemic.
How many more lives do we need to lose before the bloodshed ends?

There should not be 7 years of waiting time. There should not be the common experience of jumping from doctor to doctor to be taken seriously. The time is now for women's "reproductive" issues to be respected that it deserves. We will not continue to suffer in silence (7/7)

Endometriosis is a chronic illness that affects around 14% of the Australian population that menstruate. This is a condition that can seriously impact someone's quality of life due to severe pain, fatigue and infertility amongst many other side effects (1/7).

More funding, more services, more training of endometriosis specialists and excision surgeons, more clinics and a better overall understanding of the condition are needed to create accessible and affordable care for this condition for ALL sufferers (6/7)
