For all the jokes about calling it Lee Cronin’s The Mummy, nothing on earth could have possibly prepared me for the absolute funniest way of styling the title in the actual film

Thrilled to share I have a new story out with @Bfvillage and @BlackWarriorRev. Written in the style of a Wikipedia article, it’s called “CUT!!” and it’s about a cursed Filipino horror movie that kills teens and outlives the Philippines. Read it here: https://t.co/hbsqXdnyrK
calling protests useless is the privilege of those who aren’t being oppressed. for the silenced, the hungry, and the abused, protests are a weapon of survival. if you feel comfortable enough to dismiss them, then you’re living off the comfort built on someone else’s suffering.
Some of the major influences for my new story, out on Boyfriend Village this week.
- GHOSTWATCH (1992)
- THE RING (2002)
- All the MAGANDANG GABI… BAYAN Halloween special episodes
- FAKE DOCUMENTARY Q on YouTube
If you love any of these, you may enjoy https://t.co/nncODgxKGk
My new short story, out now on Boyfriend Village, is also about a controversial Filipino horror production that turns into lost media and suddenly resurfaces as a cult classic. Read here: https://t.co/hbsqXdnyrK
In November of 1998, Jerry Lopez Sineneng directed Maalaala Mo Kaya's Halloween episode KOPITA, featuring Gardo Versoza as a young priest assigned to a faraway barrio, not knowing that the town is inhabited by aswangs.
The episode was so controversial and has been the topic of so many urban legends, including that it has been lost media or that ABSCBN was forced to surrender all copies of the episode and burn them.
27 years later, the full episode has resurfaced and has been uploaded to Jeepney TV's YouTube channel. https://t.co/yrCtxJvMX0
