The US national debt: $36 trillion. They show you the number. The clock ticking upward. They tell you it's a crisis. That your grandchildren will pay for it. That austerity is necessary. That programs must be cut.
But ask one question: who is the debt owed TO?
The government "borrows" money from the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve creates that money from nothing. Types a number into a computer. No vault is opened. No gold is moved. You can't owe someone something they never had. You can't be in debt to an entity that created the "loan" from nothing. The debt isn't real. It's a fiction — maintained by the shared belief that numbers on a screen represent obligation.

They lend $100 into existence and demand $105 back. But only $100 exists. The $5 in interest was never created. It's mathematically impossible to repay. The system requires perpetual, expanding debt to function. Not because of mismanagement. By design.
