small intro! started playing ffxiv a 2-3 months ago on marilith and now I’m at dawntrail! i main ninja, but overall can play almost all classes! this is my wol xylon C:
Sometimes I think about how cuisines are shaped by war. Like condensed milk in Vietnam. Canned SPAM in Southern Japan, the Philippines, and Hawaii. Halo-halo being a memento of Japanese invasion of the Philippines. Korean Army Stew. British cuisine that came from long rationing.
i love filipinoisms so much. pointing with the lips. high five when something’s funny. summoning eo with “psst”. repeating a random english word in the middle of a sentence. Reduplication to show how it’s really something (major major) or using a noun as adjective (so traffic)
a filipino kid not knowing what an "aswang" is is exactly why we need more "filipino-centered" movies like this. i don't want our future generation to know about cyclops, medusa, gumihos, yokai, etc. but not know aswangs and engkantos.
The FFXV collaboration event, A Nocturne of Heroes, has begun! 🚗 https://t.co/lc9EvSE8wt
From now through October 13, participate in the event and obtain a four-seated car mount, the Regalia Type-G!
Filipinos showing up for Forgotten Island at these sneak screenings with positive reviews is the word of mouth we want 🇵🇭
Filipinos reactions matter the most because they can set the tone for how the REST OF THE WORLD discovers and embraces this film
The momentum starts at HOME
I hope the Filipinos will really give #ForgottenIsland a chance. It's not everyday that we are going to be represented by a major production company and having a worldwide release that showcases some of our culture.
Let's leave the crab mentality behind and just enjoy the movie.
