@afneil I guess even JC will get things right occasionally - just like a stopped clock is right twice a day (that’s an old fashioned clock, for those under 30 years old) 🙂
@tomhfh This appears to be an all-black panel - am I allowed to say that? What kind of event was it? Imagine the furore if it had been an all-white panel. I can’t believe the double standards that are deemed to be normal today.
@DefundBBC Compared with other subscription services, I think the BBC is good value (Dan is right), but why should it be compulsory to pay? I hardly ever use the BBC, so why should I be criminalised if I don’t pay?
@Realistic_Live @owls_two@JuliaHB1 What a lovely person you sound. I hate to imagine a world where no one gave a fuck about anyone else. Thankfully, most of the world is not like you.
@MarshaW1974@bullshirt34450@LisaMarieBoothe It’s true that lots of doctors think that, but waaay more don’t. The trouble with waiting for natural immunity to develop in the community is that millions more will need to get sick, be hospitalised and die, in the meantime. Vaccinations are a much quicker and safer route.
@Ell27Russ@bullshirt34450@LisaMarieBoothe Contracting Covid (testing positive) doesn’t equate to getting sick or dying. It spreads amongst the vaccinated but they are very unlikely to need hospital treatment, let alone an ICU. The latter are largely reserved for the selfish unvaccinated the rest of us are protecting.
@DavidBo20553176@JuliaHB1 It’s NOT just about your own body, is it? I can’t understand why people don’t realise that it effects others, too - family, friends, neighbours, medical staff, etc. That’s what the Italian govt know. In my opinion, only selfish & uncaring people would refuse to be vaccinated.
@bullshirt34450@LisaMarieBoothe The unvaccinated are way more likely to spread the virus to vulnerable people - elderly family, friends with comorbidities, etc. it’s not just about you! I can’t believe that after 2 years some people still haven’t grasped the basic facts! Speak to a doctor.
@GeorgeG93021521@LisaMarieBoothe Nigeria (and Africa) has an extremely young population. Probably little or no obesity. Totally different demographics.
@BMcsquidgy@LisaMarieBoothe Today, an ‘outbreak’ amounts to having positive tests, or mild symptoms. Those people are unlikely to get very sick, need hospitalisation, ICU, or die. 90% of people in those situations are unvaccinated. Biden was correct. Please check your facts. People are dying if ignorance.
